In anticipation of that album’s 30th anniversary, The Jesus and Mary Chain will be performing Psychocandy at three UK concerts in November 2014 — their opening salvo in what threatens to be a host of live onslaughts, festival dates and other special plans from the band in the run-up to Psychocandy’s anniversary date next year. The last time The Jesus and Mary Chain appeared in the UK was at their sold-out shows at The Roundhouse and The Forum in London in 2008.

The Jesus and Mary Chain have been confirmed for their first show of 2014 by organizers of the Cultura Ingelsa Festival in Sao Paolo, Brazil. The Brothers Reid will join Los Campesinos! to close out the 18th installment of the Brit-celebrating music fest on May 25.

The band has revealed the 14-song tracklist that will comprise the 11th and final LP in its forthcoming The Complete Vinyl Collection box set, a collection of B-sides and rarities — including material from the Barbed Wire Kisses album and Power of Negative Thinking box set — that were voted on by fans.
The all-vinyl box set is due out Dec. 2 2013 and is currently being sold primarily through My Play Direct — which isn’t making the set available to customers ordering from the U.S. However, as expected, it can now be ordered via Amazon.co.uk, which is selling it for about £144 (roughly $233) shipped to the U.S. (compared to My Play Direct’s base price of £130, before shipping).
The previously announced box set includes all six of the Mary Chain’s original studio albums, a BBC live concert set, a 2LP collection of BBC studio sessions and the just-announced, fan-selected LP of B-sides and rarities.
