"Online Shopper in Another World" receives anime + teaser

The opening of an official website today revealed that the Isekai novel “The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World” (Japanese: “Arafou Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan Seikatsu”) will be made into a TV anime. You can find a first teaser below.

Start next year

All that is known so far is that the fantasy anime will start on Japanese television next year and that Junichi Suwabe, who has already voiced Sukuna in “Jujutsu Kaisen” in the past, will be voicing the main character Ken’ichi.

The original light novel of the same name was written by Hifumi Asakura and has been on sale in Japan since July 31, 2018 with illustrations by Yamakawa. The series now comprises three volumes, which are available both digitally and in print.

A manga adaptation of Umiharu has been published in “Monthly G Fantasy” magazine since April 2019. The work is available internationally through Square Enix with an English translation.

Ken’ichi, a single man in his forties, suddenly finds himself in another world. There he discovers that he can also store on a huge online shopping website. He uses his new skills to lead a quiet life from now on.
